Where Does Your Team Logo Rank?

By: Jeremy | April 3rd, 2009

So I’ve always had a general interest in how a team presents itself with logos, uniforms, colors, etc. Here is how I stack the MLS logos. Let’s see if you agree…

1. DC United
That screaming bird thing is freakin’ cool.

2. Chicago Fire
Incorporating the fire department’s badge is a classy touch.

3. Houston Dynamo
Yes, I’d love to put it as #1, but I can’t help noticing the remnants of the scrapped 1836 logo, but still a great design overall.

4. NY Red Bulls
Sure, it’s an adapted commercial logo. But it makes a good sports logo, too.

5. Real Salt Lake
A perfect combination of “less is more” and a striking color scheme.

6. Toronto FC
The modified maple leaf on top is nice but the rest seems a little busy.

7. Chivas USA
A typical international crest but it doesn’t fit well with the MLS lineup.

8. Seattle Sounders FC
Is it just me or does the bottom portion look like the back end of a thong, minus the cheeks?

9. FC Dallas
I admit it should be higher on the list but there is one glaring issue…it says DALLAS.

10. San Jose Earthquakes
Just another logo, nothing special about it at all. And they’ve had two shots at this.

11. New England Revolution
I’ve seen the American flag before. Oh, wait, this one has a soccer ball on it. Clever.

12. LA Galaxy
Why isn’t there an “ME” after the “LA”?

13. Colorado Rapids
It looks somewhat like you’re staring straight into a bird’s yawning beak. Anyone else see that?

14. Columbus Crew
Any team that rocks the black and gold is cool in my book, but why ruin it by putting the Village People on your logo?

15. Kansas City Wizards
Pathetic. Is that a logo or a warning label? Maybe put some effort into it next time.

So that’s my list, what’s yours?

watch out…I agree with DC’s logo, but some weirdos on here have equated to nazi symbols.

    Damn. The news is out.

And if this destroys the US car industry, Jeremy, we are holding you responsible.
