What’s In A Name?

By: Jeremy | May 8th, 2009

The Social Security Administration released the list of top baby names for 2008. Beckham debuted among the top 1,000 boy names, making the list at 893. As stated in the SSA press release, this was “undoubtedly influenced by the arrival in the United States of British soccer star David Beckham.”

But the press release fails to acknowledge the names “undoubtedly influenced” by the Orange. Clark registered at 698, Barrett at 609, Davis at 410, Cruz at 367, Cameron at 53, and James at 17. I didn’t know Julius James was so popular.

Now I am fully expecting Ching, Wondolowski, and Mulrooney to make the 2009 list.

Dallas sucks.
