The Dynamo Blues

confusedThe Dynamo had a game last night? I was flipping between Kimbo Slice on The Ultimate Fighter and Meatloaf on Ghost Hunters. I completely forgot about the Dynamo. I guess that’s what happens when you prefer watching things that are entertaining. Oh well.

The Dynamo lost to Pachuca 1-0 in CONCACRAP action. You can read about it here. Yawn.

Hey, how about them Texans? That defense is fantastic, isn’t it?

Hockey season starts tonight with two games on Versus. It’s Washington at Boston at 7:00 PM ET, and San Jose at Colorado at 10:00 PM ET. I’m much more interested in the first game. It’s Alex the Great against my fantasy team’s goalie, Tim Thomas. Is there any better sport in HD than hockey? Maybe golf, NASCAR isn’t bad either, but my vote goes to hockey.

In AHL action, the Aeros open their season tomorrow in Manitoba. No TV (of course) but you can listen live at 1070 on your AM dial or stream it online.

FOREVER ORANGE

Dallas sucks.

You missed a heck of game, really. Shame the Dynamo lost but it was fun to watch. Dynamo had a lot of possession and chances.

I continue to wonder why Oduro is starting for this team. I know Landin is ineligible, but Cam Weaver has been lights out since we got him. Maybe it’s an issue of rest for the MLS season, at least I hope that’s the case. I would think Coach Dom would know by now that Oduro isn’t the best choice for that position.

Obviously you weren’t watching the game last night. I was there and Oduro did so well although he hasn’t scored a mls goal, he was dangerous last night. He would have had two goals if the ref didn’t call offside in both attempts.
Everytime he plays, he hustles for the ball and causes headaches for defense but I guess none of that matters because in order for him to be “good” he has to score goals.
Cam is a good player but most of his goals have either been by pure luck or a good pass. He doesn’t hustle for the ball.
Obviously Coach Dom sees that he is a good player that’s why he plays.
So I am sorry if you feel that he is not good enough although he scored two goals in the first two concacaf games.

Nope, didn’t watch the game, not one second of it. I remember Oduro scoring at some point earlier in the year but the CONCACAF website lists his goals at zero. Maybe it was in the US Open Cup? If so, do those really count? That’s just a reserves tournament.

i wouldnt say that oduro sucks. i just dont think he fits in with the way our team plays .. he hustles that’s for sure but what we need now especially at the end of the season is strikers who can finish off the plays and score. and Cam has that wether its been luck or good passes , hes been able to score….. but thats jus my opinion lol

I agree with Rudy. Hustling is great and all but that doesn’t translate into scoring. But I would love to be wrong and see him score. And Landin, too, for that matter. It will be very interesting to see the Kamara/Landin match this weekend.
