Looking past the draw and seeing the positives..
By: Daryl | April 9th, 2008I’m over the result we got on Sunday because it was a draw and we showed a lot of heart to come back.
But you guys have no idea what I have been hearing in Houston all week long, this city is seriously freaking excited about this team it almost brings a tear to my eye. I was listening to sports radio here in Houston and a guy called in and said he had never been to a soccer game in his entire life so he headed down to the Dynamo game on Sunday and was made a fan for life, apparently that game won a lot of soccer fans here in Houston more so in the past two years as a franchise.
You know what all credit to the Texian Army and El Batallón you guys blew the god damn roof off the place and I am so proud that I support the Houston Dynamo because of you guys, you are what soccer is all about the passion and love for the game and I have to say you guys have a big part in bringing our boys up from the depths…I salute you.
Anyways, we have a very very important game at Kansas City this weekend and honestly with the way KC are playing I want to say I expect a draw but I think they will win, they are top of the table and playing very good football. Their tiny new stadium seems to be working for the time being, its awesome seeing The Cauldron right behind goal screaming their heads off. Pat Onstad will be back in the fold(hopefully, he didn’t make the trip to Costa Rica) and I am praying that this little shoulder injury doesn’t keep him out longer. KC will also host the Rev’s today I’m hoping this will have some sort of affect on their performance but I highly doubt it, I’ll be back Friday with a nice long match preview.
