Dynamo to pay tribute to fallen Houston firefighters.
By: Richard | April 16th, 2009

Browsing through the online sports pages (well, what else are we to do to kill time at work??), we spotted this article over at OurSportsCentral that we thought deserved a bit more publicity related to this Sunday’s game against Colorado.
Dynamo to pay tribute to fallen Houston firefighters
Once again the Dynamo leads the way in community relations around the city, way ahead of the more established sports franchises in both thought and delivery. Firefighters in for free, shirts auctioned off for the firefighter’s charity (The Last Alarm Club), HFD patches on jerseys and $5 from a $15 dollar ticket will be donated in the memory of the two firefighters that passed away.
Apparently this offer extends to the Dallas home game on May 9th also, so expect a collection/donation of around $10 from the traveling army of Dallas fans attending that game.
I’ll be here all week.
You stay classy, Houston Dynamo.
