By: Jeremy | June 9th, 2009
From the Houston Chronicle:
The Dynamo have sent Chris Wondolowski to the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for Cam “The Dream” Weaver, the team revealed this morning.
San Jose is also getting a conditional pick in next year’s MLS draft as part of the forward-for-forward trade.
Weaver, at 25 an MLS rookie, previously played in the United Soccer Leagues (Seattle) and Norway (Haugesund).
He has one goal and two assists in nine appearances (five starts) this season.
A fifth-year player, Wondolowski, 25, had been with the Dynamo since their days as the Quakes. He was drafted by coach Dominic Kinnear in 2005.
Wondolowski has two goals and one assist in seven appearances, including three starts, this season.
OK, I added “The Dream” part.
