Though that was when I bought my DC Addidas coat. July 22nd - Early morning thunderstorms took out 1 of the three power lines to RFK, another had been off for maintenace, not enough power game delayed a day. Feel sorry for the people who didn't get the notice and bothered to show up. July 23rd - First half was fine, downpours started, power flickered out, field pooled massively, lightning strikes. Thank god I had my coat. Almost everyone left and if you didn't drive in the game ended after the last metro trains departed the station to Maryland (it resumed after the last metro train to VA). Fittingly the man of the match was the DC United Squeegee crew who squeegeed all the water off the field when they weren't stopped by lightning.
