CONCACAF Champions Cup Update
By: Daryl | April 9th, 2008
As of right now are boys are probably in a morning training session in San Jose, Costa Rica, Tonight is the second leg against Saprissa in the first leg we were held to a 0-0 draw at home.
Unfortunately 3 of our finest did not make the trip:
1) Stuart Holden – I believe he picked up a sprained ankle.
2) Pat Onstad – Picked up a shoulder injury.
3) Eddie Robinson – Has a knee injury.
To answer Dave’s question, Yes, these “injuries” will affect our fixture against KC, Pat Onstad I expect to be back in the fold as he is not even listed on the injury report, but I definitely see Eddie and Stuart being out for the KC game but..only time will tell.
Oh dear oh dear…Fortunately for us we still have De-Ro, Ching, Caraccio, and Clark all fit and ready to go.
Saprissa being the 25 time national champions are not to be taken lightly, if anything this will be a hostile environment and very difficult to play in. I expect this to be a high scoring match with plenty of drama; our boys will do absolutely everything in their power to win as they haven’t performed as of late, this will interesting to see how this plays out as we need to score on their home turf to progress.
My Prediction: Saprissa 2-3 Dynamo
You can view this game on FSC 9PM Central.

Will these “injuries” also affect your next MLS fixture?

Daryl,
I’m getting pumped up for no reason that I can figure, except for the fact that we have about everything going against us. So, what the hell, y’know! (I posted about this over at http://nutmegging.blogspot.com) Back against the wall, BOOM BOOM BOOM.
Dale.
